Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Massachusetts seeks a diligent dialysis care professional to join the health care team under RN supervision. You will assist in setting up and operating hemodialysis machines, monitor patient wellbeing, and document treatment parameters to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Responsibilities include evaluating vascular access, cannulation, pre/post vital signs, and adhering to infection control standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• Must meet CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the CMS timeline.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training required.
• Experience in inpatient hospital or related facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and operating hemodialysis machines under supervision.
• Welcome patients and monitor wellbeing between treatments.
• Evaluate vascular access, cannulate, and administer heparin as allowed.
• Obtain pre/post-treatment vitals and weights; record treatment data.
• Initiate dialysis per orders, monitor response, and document changes.
• Ensure safety alarms are enabled and machine checks are completed.
• Maintain infection control and clean dialysis equipment and area.
