Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician in Baltimore, MD to join the dialysis health care team under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. You will assist with dialysis treatment setup, monitor patient status, document vital signs, and help maintain a safe, clean environment while supporting CQI activities.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, and a valid PCT certification (state or CMS). Excellent teamwork and adherence to safety policies are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or its equivalent required.
  • Must have a valid PCT national certification or state specific certification as defined by CMS.
  • Demonstrated commitment to organization culture, values, and customer service standards.
  • Attendance and participation in preceptor training programs as established by education leadership.
  • Attends Fresenius training and skill-based programs as assigned by Clinical Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in dialysis treatment setup and machine operation under RN supervision.
  • Monitor patients and respond to intradialytic changes as directed.
  • Record treatment data and vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Maintain infection control and environmental standards within the clinic.
  • Support training of direct patient care staff and new hires.
