Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a dialysis patient care technician to join the team in Fort Mill, South Carolina. You will assist in setting up and operating hemodialysis machines under RN supervision and support a safe, clean treatment environment.

The role involves patient education, monitoring, and documentation of vital signs and treatment parameters, with emphasis on safety and quality care in line with CQI activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome assigned patients and inquire about their wellbeing since their last treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access for patency and perform cannulation.
• Monitor patients’ response to dialysis therapy and report changes to the nurse.
• Record vital signs, weight and treatment parameters on the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment and adhere to infection control policies.
