Dialysis Clinic, Inc. (DCI) is seeking a full-time Patient Care Technician to assist ESRD patients in our nonprofit dialysis setting.

You will support clinical staff, monitor vital signs and machine readings, and help maintain infection control and patient education initiatives under RN supervision. We offer paid training, competitive benefits, Sundays off, and a mission-driven culture focused on high-quality kidney care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired.
• DCI provides a 3-month comprehensive education program, including classroom sessions and hands-on training.
• Dialysis experience not required; job shadow opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities.
• Guide new patients through 120-day education plan.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment.
• Role under RN supervision.
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment.
• Insert and remove patient access needles.
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns.
• Calculate patient weight loss to reach dry weight.
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly.
• Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights.
• Maintain and track inventory.
• Perform laboratory work.
