Job summary

US Renal Care is seeking a Dialysis Patient Care Technician Floater to join a cross-functional team under RN/Charge Nurse supervision for renal care. The role focuses on direct patient care, machine preparation, safety, and quality control to ensure high-quality dialysis treatment.

The position requires a high school diploma, healthcare interest, and potential CNA/phlebotomy experience, with CPR due within 90 days and PCT certification within 18 months. Training is provided by USRC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
• Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
• Must be comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire; state requirements may apply.
• PCT certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Patient care: work with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment; collect patient stats before and after treatment; initiate, monitor, and terminate treatment; collect blood samples per physician orders.
• Technician duties: prepare machines for hemodialysis, clean and disinfect machines after treatment, conduct machine safety checks and log results per quality control protocols.
• Safety and quality: follow safety measures and PPE, adhere to company policies and state/federal laws; participate in staff meetings and continuing education.
