Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is looking for a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Oceanside, California. In this role, you will support patients by setting up and operating hemodialysis machines, while providing compassionate care and building strong relationships with patients.

The ideal candidate will need a high school diploma or G.E.D., previous experience is preferred, and a dedication to patient care. The position offers an hourly rate of $24–27, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or a related facility is preferred.
• Successful completion of CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, test, and operate hemodialysis machines for patient treatments.
• Obtain and document necessary pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight for each patient.
• Evaluate vascular access pre-treatment and perform vascular access cannulation.
• Monitor patients' response to dialysis therapy.
• Report any significant information and/or change in patient condition to supervisor.
