Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Newport Beach, CA seeks a dialysis technician to support safe and effective dialysis therapy under supervision. You will operate hemodialysis machines, monitor vital signs, prepare and disconnect treatments, and ensure a clean, safe work area.

You will assist in patient education, participate in CQI activities, document treatment data, and maintain equipment and supplies. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, state/certification requirements, and CPR

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required and CPR certification.
• CMS-approved state or national certification requirements must be met.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome assigned patients and inquire wellbeing.
• Evaluate vascular access for patency, cannulation, and heparin administration as delegated.
• Obtain pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight; perform vascular access evaluation pre-treatment.
• Initiate dialysis treatment according to orders, including QB and QD.
• Monitor patient response to dialysis therapy and document changes.
• Record treatment data into the designated clinical application with patient identification.
• Maintain safety alarms and infection control practices; report changes to the RN or supervisor.
