Job summary

PIH Health is seeking a dialysis patient care technician (PCT) to support patients before, during, and after dialysis under the supervision of an acute inpatient dialysis RN. Required qualifications include a current hemodialysis technician certification, 2+ years of dialysis experience, and a current BLS card.

Qualifications

• Must hold current hemodialysis technician certification.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Job description

The dialysis patient care technician (PCT) will provide care for the patient receiving dialysis, before, during and after the dialysis treatment, under the direct supervision and delegation of the acute inpatient dialysis Registered Nurse (RN). The dialysis PCT will provide direct and non-direct patient care, under their scope of practice, as deemed necessary by the acute inpatient dialysis RN. In addition, the dialysis PCT will provide quality assurance for machines and equipment in compliance with hospital policy and federal regulations.
