Job summary

Dialysis Clinic, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Kentucky for full-time work. The role supports the dialysis treatment process, under RN supervision, with four 10-hour shifts beginning at 4:30am and Sundays off.

Compensation ranges from $18.50 to $24.85 per hour, with paid training, benefits, and a comprehensive education program. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, PTO with holidays, a 3-month education program, retirement matching,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT and/or phlebotomy skills desired.
• DCI provides a 3-month comprehensive education program, including classroom group sessions and one-on-one skills training.
• Dialysis experience not required, job shadow opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management and patient education activities
• Guide new patients through 120-day education plan
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment
• Role under RN supervision
• Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment
• Insert and remove patient access needles
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes and inform charge nurse of any concerns
• Calculate patient's weight loss to reach dry weight
• Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly
• Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights
• Maintain and track inventory
• Perform laboratory work
