Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the state or CMS timeline.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training (if any) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and operating hemodialysis machines and monitor safety.
• Evaluate vascular access and assist in cannulation and administration of heparin as directed.
• Record pre/post-treatment vital signs, weight, and treatment parameters; document appropriately.
• Prepare initial patient chart, lab requisitions, and specimen handling as required.
• Maintain infection control practices and disinfect equipment between treatments.

Education
