Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 track. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients, and collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians under supervision.

As part of the End Stage Kidney Disease team, you participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient care outcomes and facility operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential nursing duties under direction of Supervisor and with guidance from Clinical Educator, Preceptor or other RN.
• Assesses, documents patient data during dialysis and adjusts treatment plan as indicated.
• Educates patients and family about learning needs and care.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis in collaboration with care staff.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per algorithm and documents rationale.
• Assists with emergency responses and provides staff training as assigned.
• Ensures proper laboratory collection, processing and timing of shipments.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Current state nursing licensure

CPR BLS Certification
