Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care North America in Salem, Oregon is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our dedicated dialysis team. Provide direct patient care, operate dialysis equipment, monitor treatments, and ensure safety and comfort for our patients in a fast-paced clinic setting.

The ideal candidate holds an active LPN/LVN license, with clinical nursing experience; hemodialysis experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN).
• Current active State licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for assigned patient(s).
• Perform all technical aspects of dialysis procedures for assigned patients as prescribed.
• Document dialysis treatment parameters and patient information in the medical record.
• Report significant information, changes in patient condition, or equipment problems to the supervisor.
• Educate patient and family about ESRD, dialysis therapy, diet and medications.
• Assist with emergency operational procedures and CPR when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary dialysis environment.
• Operate dialysis equipment and troubleshoot minor issues.
