Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care North America seeks an LPN/LVN to join our dialysis team. You will provide direct patient care, operate dialysis equipment, and monitor treatments under RN supervision, ensuring patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing (LPN, LVN).
• Current state licensure to practice as an LPN/LVN.
• One year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Hemodialysis experience preferred but not required.
• CPR certification required.
• Nurses Technical Training Program upon hire or soon thereafter.
• Ability to provide coverage at area facilities during times of short-staffing.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for assigned patient(s).
• Perform all technical aspects of dialysis procedures for assigned patients as prescribed.
• Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters on dialysis flow sheets.
• Document other information related to the care of the patient in the individual patient record.
• Assist in developing and following teaching plan for patient and family regarding dialysis.
• Assist with emergency operational procedures.
• Administer intravenous medications as directed and trained.
• Initiate basic CPR and respond to emergencies related to dialysis.
