Job summary

U.S. Renal Care is seeking a licensed vocational nurse/licensed practical nurse to support dialysis patients in a clinical setting.

You will perform essential nursing duties under a Charge Nurse, obtain blood samples, prepare medication profiles, and ensure documentation is accurate and timely. The role requires CPR within 90 days, color vision, and basic computer skills, with dialysis experience preferred and training completion within 8 weeks of hire.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current LVN/LPN license in the applicable state and maintain it.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• Dialysis experience preferred.
• Completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director within 8 weeks of hire.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of English (verbal and written).
• Must be able to organize time and tasks well.
• Basic computer skills; proficiency in USRC clinical applications within 90 days of hire.
• Must meet applicable state practice requirements.

Responsibilities

• Use supplies and staff labor hours effectively.
• Assist with billing log preparation and updates.
• Perform duties to meet patient care or operational needs of the clinic.
• Obtain blood samples for laboratory analysis as required to complete physician orders.
• Complete and document monthly review of patient medication profiles.
• Comply with health care professional practice act requirements.
• Work under supervision of a Charge Nurse and in accordance with company policy and laws.
• Maintain accurate documentation in patient records for all treatments and communication.
• Report significant patient condition changes to the Charge Nurse.
• Report machine problems to Biomedical Technician and Administrator.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions; participate in continuing education.
• Assist with staff training as requested.
