Job summary

U.S. Renal Care is seeking a Biomedical Technician at our Texas clinic to oversee maintenance and repair of water treatment, dialysis machines, and related mechanical/electrical systems to ensure patient and staff safety.

This role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inventory, safety testing, documentation, and collaboration with Administrators to meet clinic needs, with emphasis on compliance and quality of care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver' license in applicable state. License must be maintained as current, without restrictions and good driving record.
• Previous dialysis, hospital, or medical experience preferred.
• Confirmation of ability to distinguish all primary colors.
• Ability to react and perform under stress and in emergency situations.
• Ability to communicate and interface effectively with others.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently as well as with others to plan and organize work assignment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair of water treatment equipment, dialysis machines and related systems.
• Assist with inventory, purchasing, and weekly/monthly counts.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks per protocol.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment; calibrate and test devices.
• Collect water/dialysate samples for microbiology testing.
• Disinfect and maintain RO systems, distribution loops, and pretreatment equipment.
• Update safety data sheets and maintain maintenance records.
• Work with Administrators to address clinic needs and ensure patient safety and compliance.
