Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations of a dialysis unit and ensure safe treatments across modalities.
  • Lead, train, and coach clinical staff; manage staffing schedules and PTO.
  • Ensure HIPAA/OSHA/compliance with ESRD/state/federal regulations.
  • Coordinate with providers, facilities, and managed care organizations.
  • Participate in interviews, evaluations, and corrective action plans as needed.
  • Oversee patient education, lab oversight, and medical records quality control.
  • Conduct facility audits, develop action plans, and manage safety.
  • Record payroll and timesheet data in ADP; monitor monthly rosters.

Job description

  • Oversee all operations and activities of a smaller-sized dialysis unit
  • Deliver safe and effective dialysis treatments across treatment modalities
  • Lead, train, coach, and guide clinical teammates
  • Coordinate activities with technical personnel and biomedical teams
  • Maintain relationships and communication with providers, DOC/BOP, managed healthcare organizations, post-acute facilities, hospitals, and other clients
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, ESRD, state and federal regulations, and company policies
  • Manage staffing schedules, assignments, PTO requests, overtime, and patient-to-staffing ratios
  • Facilitate staff development, training, monthly education, onboarding, and skills checks
  • Participate in interviews, candidate selection, employee appreciation, corrective action plans, and annual evaluations as needed
  • Provide patient education, oversee lab collections, documentation, medical records, and quality-control measures
  • Complete monthly facility audits and develop action plans for deficiencies
  • Maintain unit safety, cleanliness, infection control, and protected health information
  • Collaborate on CQI/QAPI initiatives, clinical goals, and patient outcomes
  • Attend facility meetings and maintain timely internal and external communication
  • Record and review payroll and timesheet information in ADP
  • Review and submit treatment rosters within two days of month end
  • Order supplies and maintain adequate, unexpired emergency inventory
  • Act as a company advocate and identify potential dialysis business opportunities
  • Report incidents and work-related injuries
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Graduation from an Accredited Nursing School or Equivalent
  • Current RN License for Kentucky
  • Current CPR certification or certification within three months of hire
  • One year of Hemodialysis RN experience required
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and satisfactorily communicate in English

  • Strong technical/computer proficiency with laptops, tablets, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, MPulse, EMR, ADP, HCP, and equipment systems
  • Ability to quickly learn a variety of technical systems and equipment
  • Must maintain RN license, CPR, and a clean background
  • Comprehensive background check required after an offer for employees working in this position
  • Ability to work the full schedule, ranging from five to fifteen hours per day based on unit requirements
  • Ability to regularly stand and frequently bend, walk, twist, crouch, use hands, and reach
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in environments with potential exposure to chemicals and blood-borne pathogens
  • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality required
