Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks a Patient Care team member to join the dialysis health care team under a licensed nurse's supervision. You will assist with patient care, lab sample handling, and maintain a clean, safe environment in accordance with FMCNA policies.

Responsibilities include welcoming patients, screening per policy, collecting lab samples, coordinating transportation, and ensuring confidentiality. A high school diploma or GED and healthcare experience are required.

• Previous relevant healthcare experience required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome assigned patients and inquire about their well-being.
• Screen patients/staff per Coronavirus Policy.
• Perform Nasal Swab Testing.
• Collect nasopharyngeal swab samples.
• Assist patients to waiting area.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
• Prepare lab requisitions and label/store lab samples.
• Ensure collection of lab specimens by appropriate lab courier.
• Ensure safe handling of potentially hazardous materials.
• Restock supplies and coordinate patient transportation.
• Follows up on referrals and additional appointments as needed.
• QAI paperwork as designated by manager.
