Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Dialysis Technician to assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines and support a safe, clean treatment environment. You will participate in pre/post treatment evaluations, monitor patient status, and document treatment data under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety alarms, assisting in education, and contributing to CQI activities to improve patient outcomes. A high school diploma or GED and CMS certifications are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• CMS-approved state and/or national certification requirements.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training.
• Demonstrated commitment to organization culture, values, and customer service standards

Responsibilities

• Welcome assigned patients and inquire as to their wellbeing since their last treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access for patency and perform cannulation and heparin administration as delegated.
• Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders and monitor treatment parameters.
• Monitor patients’ response to dialysis therapy and document vitals and treatment data.
• Record treatment data and vital signs accurately on the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet and related documentation.
