Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.) and licensed to practice in the state.
• Minimum 12 months of nursing experience plus 6 months in dialysis care.
• CPR certification or training completed.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance to direct patient care staff.
• Participate in staffing, hiring, firing and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, policies and regulations.
• Approve or disapprove time/schedule changes in the absence of the Facility Administrator.
• Coordinate Charge Nurse duties with Staff RNs.
• Assess daily patient care needs and assign care accordingly.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure patient safety and care quality.
• Train and orient staff; participate in in-services.
• Promote OSHA safety and maintain a safe work environment.
• Attend monthly Quality Assurance meetings.
