Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a patient care-focused dialysis technician to join our team in Newport Beach, CA. You will assist in setting up and operating dialysis machines, monitor patients during treatment, and document vital signs and treatment parameters under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, CMS/state certification, and CPR certification, with ongoing dialysis training. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMS- or state/national certification within required timeframe.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training required.
• Continued employment depends on successful completion of dialysis training and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist other health care members in patient education on adequacy measures.
• Welcome patients and check wellbeing since last treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access and perform cannulation and heparin administration as allowed by state law.
• Obtain pre/post treatment vital signs and weights; document appropriately.
• Initiate dialysis per orders including QB and QD; monitor and respond to intradialytic issues.
• Record vital signs and treatment data; ensure safety alarms are enabled.
