Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Dialysis Technician to join our team in New York. You will assist in setting up and operating hemodialysis equipment, monitor patient status, and ensure safety and infection control throughout treatment.

The role requires collaboration with RNs and adherence to CQI standards. Responsibilities include vascular access checks, documenting vitals and treatments, and supporting education for patients.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMS/state certification requirements within required state or CMS timeline.
• All appropriate state licensure, education, and training (if any) required.
• Demonstrated commitment to organization culture, values, and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setup and operation of hemodialysis machines.
• Welcome assigned patients and monitor wellbeing and vitals.
• Evaluate vascular access and administer heparin as delegated.
• Initiate dialysis treatment per orders and monitor patient response.
• Document treatment parameters, vitals, and any interventions.
• Maintain infection control and safe, clean environment across unit.
