Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Framingham, MA is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to join the dialysis health care team. You will assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines, monitor patient status, and help maintain a safe, clean treatment environment under RN supervision.

No prior dialysis experience is required; you’ll receive paid training and, upon certification, opportunities for pay increases and career advancement.

Qualifications

• No prior dialysis experience required.
• On-the-job training followed by national certification.
• RN certification may be pursued with tuition reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate dialysis machines under supervision.
• Monitor patient wellbeing and vital signs during treatment.
• Assess vascular access and ensure cannulation is performed safely.
• Record treatment data accurately and maintain the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet.
• Respond to safety alarms and report issues to the nurse.
• Educate patients on treatment procedures and post-care steps.
• Maintain a clean, safe treatment environment and equipment between sessions.
• Assist in process improvements and CQI activities as directed.
