Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician for our Evanston, IL clinic. This onsite role supports licensed nurses, assists in dialysis machine setup, and helps ensure safe, effective patient care with rotating early shifts.

Training is provided to achieve proficiency in dialysis delivery. The position offers paid dialysis training, tuition reimbursement, healthcare benefits after 30 days, generous PTO, ESL leave accrual, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in patient-related education and monitoring.
• Evaluate patient condition and vital signs before, during, and after dialysis.
• Set up and operate dialysis machines under RN supervision.
• Document treatments and patient responses accurately.
• Maintain infection control and clean working environment between treatments.
