Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA seeks a Dialysis Patient Care Technician to assist clinicians in delivering patient care to patients with kidney failure or CKD. The role supports dialysis delivery in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

The ideal candidate holds a state or national dialysis certification, BLS, and is prepared to obtain required licensure within 18 months of hire. Prior health care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Experience: Previous health care experience preferred.
• Licensure: Certified as a Patient Care Dialysis Technician within 18 months of hire.
• AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care to dialysis patients.
• Support diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural aspects of patient care in dialysis settings.
• Work in outpatient and inpatient dialysis environments as needed.
