Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Dialysis Patient Care Technician to support the delivery of patient care in outpatient and inpatient dialysis settings. This role helps ensure the smooth functioning of clinical operations by assisting physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural activities.

Responsibilities include adhering to certification requirements, maintaining patient safety, and following established procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Experience: Previous health care experience preferred.
• Licensure: Certified as a Patient Care Dialysis Technician by a State Agency or Nationally Recognized Certification Program within 18 months of hire date.
• AHA Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
• Certifications: CCHT, CHT, CCNT or equivalent dialysis certification recognized by Virginia authorities.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical operations to aid diagnosis, treatment, and procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to deliver patient care.
• Follow established protocols and safety guidelines in dialysis settings.
