Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Dialysis Technician to provide safe and effective dialysis therapy for acute setting patients as part of the healthcare team. You will work under the supervision of an RN, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and participate in quality improvement activities.

The role requires CCHT certification, 18 months of experience, and state certifications. You will operate renal replacement therapy equipment, monitor patients, and document vital signs and treatment

Qualifications

• CCHT certification required.
• 18 months of experience required, as stated in the posting header.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid PCT National Certification or CMS-defined state certification required.
• State licensure and related training required.
• 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as needed.
• Willingness to travel between facilities and locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective dialysis therapy for acute setting patients as part of the team.
• Care for patients under RN supervision and maintain a safe environment.
• Participate in quality improvement, performance improvement and patient satisfaction activities.
• Set up, prime and monitor renal replacement therapy equipment.
• Record vital signs, treatment parameters and lab specimens accurately.
• Perform cannulation and manage vascular access evaluations.
• Initiate and discontinue renal replacement therapy per orders.
• Respond to alarms and intervene in intradialytic problems as directed.
• Ensure proper dressings, hemostasis and discharge reporting to the RN.
