Fresenius Medical Care in Sharpsburg, GA is seeking a dialysis technician to support safe, effective dialysis therapy under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will assist in setting up and operating hemodialysis machines and maintain a clean, safe treatment area.

You will monitor patients during treatment, record vitals and treatment parameters, manage safety alarms, and participate in CQI activities aimed at improving patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Aufgaben

• Welcome assigned patients and inquire about their wellbeing since their last treatment.
• Evaluate vascular access patency and perform cannulation with heparin administration as allowed.
• Obtain pre and post-treatment vital signs and weight, and evaluate vascular access pre-treatment.
• Initiate dialysis per orders, monitor QB and QD, and assess intradialytic problems.
• Monitor patient responses to dialysis and document on the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet.
• Discontinue dialysis and evaluate patient before venous access termination.
• Maintain infection control by cleaning spills and disinfecting equipment as required.
• Record all treatment data accurately and participate in CQI activities.
