Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Atlanta seeks a dedicated dialysis technician to support the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines under RN supervision. You will educate patients, monitor vital signs, and ensure safe, sterile treatment environments.

Qualifications

• Education: Assists in patient education on adequacy measures and disease processes.
• Treatment: Initiates dialysis per orders, monitors vitals, and evaluates treatments.
• Record keeping: Documents treatment data accurately and communicates changes to RN/supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on adequacy measures using OLC, AMP, UKM.
• Assist in cannulation and heparin administration as delegated.
• Monitor vital signs and weight; document pre/post dialysis data.
• Set up dialysis machinery and adjust UF goals per orders.
• Report changes in patient condition to registered nurse or supervisor.
• Maintain clean, safe dialysis environment and infection control practices.
