Job summary

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC in Bowling Green, KY seeks a Diagnostics Tech (2nd Shift) to lead quality-support activities in a manufacturing setting. You will conduct capability studies, inspect parts, perform weld checks, and participate in value-stream improvements under the direction of Quality leadership.

The role requires strong problem solving, root cause analysis, GD&T understanding, and gage-based measurement. CMM experience is a plus; 2nd shift Mon–Fri 2:30 PM–10:30 PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree is highly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years supporting quality functions and 5 years in manufacturing assembly.
• Problem solving tools skills preferred.
• Root Cause Analysis skills required.
• Critical thinking skills required.
• Basic GD&T knowledge preferred.
• Basic shop math skills required.
• Knowledge of SPC / Gage R&R preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience using different types of gages required.
• Gage calibration experience preferred.
• Advanced blueprint reading skills preferred.
• Strong organization skills required.
• Ability to lead employees promoting a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated team building skills required.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a quality support for line quality issues and resolutions.
• Trains peers in functions such as gage use and weld inspection.
• Performs thorough part analysis for rejects from production lines.
• Supports continuous improvement and Quick kaizen initiatives.
• Participates in quality improvement teams to solve problems.
• Conducts or supports audits of quality, materials, processes, and requirements.
• Assists in corrective action follow-up with departments.
• Coordinates collection of inspection/test data.
• Measures product using various equipment and gages (CMM operation & programming as required).
• Supports gage calibration as required.
• Provides professional communications about quality issues with evidence.
• Assists in Gage R&R and process capability studies.
• Participates in resolution of manufacturing issues.
• Controls materials that come/leave the diagnostics area with QA support.
• Material review and dispositioning of non-conforming products.
• Adheres to ISO14001 and IATF16949 policies; safety and quality actions.
• Performs other duties as required by supervisor or quality manager.
