Job summary

QC Tech in Bowling Green, OH, is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Inspector for the 2nd shift to ensure machined parts meet specifications and identify any issues during inspection.

You will review and approve parts, maintain PPAP submissions, and audit documentation while maintaining accurate records and data entry for non-conformances. Training occurs on the 1st shift; core hours are 2:30 PM–11:00 PM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic knowledge of algebra, geometry, and shop math (fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, and trigonometry).
• Ability to read and interpret technical prints and schematics (ANSI Y14.5 guidelines).
• Experience with measurements and verifying parts meet specifications.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with machining tools.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
• Basic computer literacy – comfortable using software for data entry, record-keeping, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspections and approve parts.
• Review and approve PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) submissions from suppliers and maintain the PPAP database.
• Audit inspection documentation and procedures to ensure all staff are following guidelines.
• Enter necessary data to maintain accurate records for non-conformance and inspection results.
• Assist with other tasks as needed.
