Job summary

VMRD, Inc. in Pullman, WA is seeking a Manufacturing Lab Technologist to lead production of diagnostic products, prepare reagents, and uphold quality standards. The role blends teamwork with independent initiative, training staff, and collaborating with R&D to transfer new technologies.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in a lab, a Bachelor's in biological sciences, and comfort with complex equipment, data interpretation, and inventory control. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of laboratory experience.
• Bachelor's degree in biological sciences; advanced degree preferred.
• Ability to mentor and train staff and work with R&D on tech transfer.

Responsibilities

• Follows policies, SOPs and QA guidelines; updates SOPs as needed.
• Manufactures ELISA kits (coating, optimization).
• Cultures cells, viruses, bacteria, microorganisms.
• Purifies proteins via chromatography and salt precipitation.
• Runs assays (IFA, ELISA, RID) and interprets data.
• Maintains records, calibrates and operates equipment.
• Mentors Manufacturing staff and supports process improvements.
• Collaborates with R&D to transfer new technology.
