Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 3+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• 1+ year of supervising or leading a team.
• 1 year phlebotomy experience and knowledge of specimen collection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of the laboratory department.
• Oversee staffing and production schedule to ensure coverage.
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff.
• Ensure service levels meet client needs and metrics.
• Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, ISO, and state regulations.
• Assist with procedures and equipment installation.
• Manage staff recruitment, performance and training.
• Communicate with leadership, clients, and department staff.
• Lead departmental meetings and ensure clear communication.
• Investigate deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain technical knowledge of laboratory testing.
