Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Technician in Mobile, Alabama. In this role you will perform routine and complex testing following SOPs, monitor instruments, and ensure timely reporting of results to support patient care.

Qualifications include an Associate's degree in chemical or biological sciences and (ideally) 3 months of lab testing experience; ASCP or AMT certification preferred. The position requires flexibility to work shifts and pass color blindness test.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.
• Proficiency with laboratory information systems and computers.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex procedures according to SOPs.
• Operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Prepare, test and evaluate reagents or controls.
• Report accurate test results to support patient care.
• Maintain a safe work environment and use PPE.
