Job summary

Akumin, a national outpatient radiology provider, seeks a X-Ray Tech for our Baldwin Park facility. The role focuses on producing quality diagnostic X‑ray images while strictly following radiation safety and documentation procedures. You will communicate with radiologists and may train newer technologists.

Requirements include ARRT (R) and state license where applicable, CPR, and flexibility to work at multiple locations. Competitive benefits and a collaborative team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• ARRT (R) and state license, if applicable.
• CPR certification required.
• As applicable, valid state driver\'s license
• Team Members working in a fixed setting: Successful completion of a Radiology School
• Ability to work at several locations
• Strong customer service skills
• Organizational and multi‑tasking skills
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs
• For mobile settings: at least one year radiography or digital x‑ray experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Produces high quality diagnostic x‑ray images.
• Adheres to radiation safety regulations and proper documentation.
• Ensures patient safety including pre‑screening and aseptic technique.
• Communicates effectively with customers and radiologists.
• May train new Radiologic Technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoots X‑ray unit and peripheral Equipment (PACS, etc.)
