Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa is seeking a radiology leader responsible for supervising technologists, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating imaging operations to deliver high-quality patient care.

The role requires extensive radiology experience, leadership ability, and strong collaboration with radiologists and leadership teams to drive performance and compliance. Full-time, day shift in a hospital setting with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and sterile procedures.
  • Ability to monitor compliance with departmental policies and ALARA principles.
  • Experience supervising technologists or radiology staff.
  • Strong communication and collaboration with radiologists and leadership.
  • Experience with scheduling, budgeting, and performance improvement initiatives.

Job Description:
  • Serves as a clinical resource to technologists, students, and other staff, offering guidance on protocols, positioning, image quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitors and supports compliance with departmental policies, radiation safety guidelines, ALARA principles, and regulatory/accreditation standards.
  • Assists with onboarding, orientation, training, and ongoing competency assessment of technologists and new hires.
  • Supports leadership in performance management through the talent care process, performance reviews, and providing coaching opportunities for team member development.
  • Collaborates with radiologists, leadership, and other departments to facilitate timely and coordinated imaging services.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives, including image quality audits, repeat analysis, and process improvement projects.
  • Ensures proper equipment functionality and coordinates preventative maintenance.
  • Participates in scheduling, timekeeping, and supply inventory management to support operational efficiency and budget goals.
  • Provides day-to-day supervision of technologists, support staff, and imaging operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
  • Coordinates daily workflow and staffing assignments, balancing patient volumes, technologist availability, and room utilization.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, isolation techniques, and sterile procedures [Required]
  • Demonstrates skills in listening, empathizing, and responds to patient, family, internal/external partner needs [Required]

  • Experience with scheduling, coordinating, inventory, protocol management, productivity and labor tracking, performance improvement initiatives, budget management, service line strategy, and team member evaluation. [Required]
