Qualifications

• Proficient in ultrasound imaging techniques.
• Aware of patient care protocols and documentation requirements.
• Able to interpret cross-sectional anatomy for imaging procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date licensure and continue education as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per provider orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity and exam appropriateness; obtain clinical history before scanning.
• Position patients and equipment to acquire optimal images and waveforms.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort, privacy, and cooperation.
• Operate imaging equipment safely; maintain records in EMR/PACS; documentation clear and timely.
• Adhere to infection control standards and PPE usage; assist with safety checks and room readiness.
• Collaborate with radiologists and care team to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Maintain inventory, alert staff when supplies are low; ensure exam rooms are clean and ready.
