AdventHealth Port Charlotte is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams within a weekend night shift schedule. You will verify patient identity, position patients, operate scanners, and document findings in EMR and PACS, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ultrasound physics and cross-sectional anatomy.
• Ability to perform Doppler techniques and vascular studies.
• Proficiency with EMR/PACS systems and documentation.
• Excellent patient communication and care across ages.
• Ability to read and follow radiology orders and protocols.
• Maintain Licensure, pursue continuing education as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity, history, and exam appropriateness.
• Position patients and optimize transducers for best images.
• Document findings accurately in EMR/PACS.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and privacy.
• Operate imaging equipment safely across ages and conditions.
• Maintain infection control and use PPE appropriately.
• Collaborate with radiologists to ensure image quality.
• Keep rooms clean, stocked, and ready for use; monitor inventory.
• Complete ultrasound tech worksheet with findings for dictation.
