Job summary

UPMC Northwest is seeking a Full-Time Diagnostic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures while delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care. Opportunity to cross-train in CT and expand your skill set. The schedule includes two 8-hour shifts, two 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, and practice holidays.

After CT cross-training, on-call rotation and varied shifts may occur. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for a 2-year commitment, plus a loan repayment program for December

Qualifications

• Ability to perform diagnostic radiography procedures per protocol.
• Ability to administer contrast per orders.
• Experience with RIS/PACS for data entry and archiving.
• Strong patient communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients with two identifiers and follow universal protocol.
• Administer PO and rectal contrast per orders.
• Ensure exams are coded and networked to RIS/PACS and ISITE for archiving.
• Perform diagnostic radiography procedures per established protocols.
• Venipuncture for contrast administration.
• Communicate procedures clearly to help patients feel at ease.
