Job summary

The University of Kentucky Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (UKVDL) is seeking a Diagnostic Technician to join the Virology/Serology Department. You will perform assays such as serum neutralization, virus isolation, and ELISA to identify animal diseases.

Based at Coldstream Research Campus with free parking, this full-time role offers a Monday–Friday day shift and opportunities for professional development within a supportive college environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science. Related experience in a laboratory or veterinary field with special consideration for previous virology/serology laboratory experience.
• LIMS and QA/QC experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform assays including serum neutralization, virus isolation and ELISA testing.
• Work in the Virology/Serology Department to identify and/or confirm animal diseases.

This position is a vital member of the team serving as a Diagnostic Technician in the Virology/Serology Department, whose duties include performing a variety of assays/tests such as serum neutralization, virus isolation and ELISA testing that identify and/or confirm animal diseases.

This position is located at the Coldstream Research Campus off Newtown Pike ( great location and free parking).
