Job summary

Allina Health seeks a Diagnostic Sonographer to join our imaging team in New Ulm, MN. You will perform abdominal, small parts, OB/GYN, and vascular imaging and assist with interventional procedures, using independent judgment and adhering to ACR guidelines.

This 0.8 FTE position (64 hours per two weeks) offers 8-hour day/evening shifts with every 3rd weekend rotation. New graduates are encouraged to apply; ARDMS registration and radiologic tech background are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates or Vocational degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound or Radiologic Technology; ARDMS registered or eligible.
• 2-year program in Diagnostic Ultrasound or Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

• Performs abdominal, small parts, OB/GYN, vascular imaging and provides sonography guidance for interventional procedures, in accordance with department policies and the American College of Radiology (ACR).
• Completes procedures in compliance with physician orders and department guidelines.
• Identifies patient with two identifiers.
• Documents accurately all needed aspects of the procedure.
• Observes and communicates with patient, responding to needs.
• Maintains safe patient environment in procedure area.
• Performs procedures with high degree of accuracy.
• Gathers information to assist interpretation of images.
• Ensures documentation is complete post procedure.

Education
