Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL seeks a skilled Laundry Equipment Technician to diagnose, repair and optimize a range of laundry systems. You will diagnose issues with PLCs, inverters, pneumatic and steam equipment, and verify repairs through testing full system functionality.

The role requires strong hands-on experience with electronic controls and mechanical systems, plus the ability to work across high-volume laundry operations and multiple equipment types.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience with electronic controls, PLC's, inverters, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• 2 years of experience as an engineer in a high-volume laundry (preferred).
• 2 years of experience on thermal oil operated ironers (preferred).
• 2 years of experience on steam operated equipment (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning laundry equipment.
• Verify functionality of repaired equipment after repair.
• Inspect equipment for potential failure and report it.
• Apply electrical installation and repair techniques to panels, conduits and devices.
• Diagnose root causes of malfunctions in mechanical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam and hot oil systems.
• Use test equipment to verify repaired systems.

Job Description

Utilizes knowledge of PLCs, inverters, and pneumatic and steam systems, and how they are applied in laundry operations. Utilizes all available resources to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment. Verifies completed tasks by testing complete functionality of equipment after repair is completed. Inspects equipment for possible failure of parts and reports it immediately. Uses proper electrical installation and repair techniques in a workman like manner with panels, conduits, flex, cut in boxes, devices and components. Diagnoses and troubleshoots issues with laundry equipment to identify the root cause of malfunctions. Repairs and replaces faulty components in mechanical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, and hot oil systems. Utilizes a variety of test equipment to troubleshoot and verify the functionality of repaired systems.

Work Experience

• 4 years of experience working with electronic controls, PLC's, inverters, pneumatic systems and hydraulic systems
• 2 years of experience as an engineer in a high-volume laundry [Preferred]
• 2 years of experience on thermal oil operated ironers [Preferred]
• 2 years of experience on steam operated equipment [Preferred]
