Job Summary:

This posting is to fill multiple positions. The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist produces radiographic images for medical interpretation, interacts with healthcare staff, clerical staff, patients, families, and visitors. Responsible for performing correct radiologic exams and producing high-quality images.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an approved Radiology program - ARRT Registry or registry eligible
  • New graduate or less than one year of experience
  • ARRT national registry, State of Arkansas Radiation License
  • CPR Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • More than one year of diagnostic radiology or related experience
Responsibilities:
  • Performing optimal x-rays and able to lift 25 lbs or more
  • Rotate through modalities, including portables, surgery, fluoro, emergency department, and diagnostic imaging at UAMS Health Specialty Center
  • Communicate with patients, families, co-workers, and physicians
  • Engage in continuing education and learn new procedures daily
  • Answer phones and communicate across hospital floors
  • Move C-ARM and OARM equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:

Constant: Hearing, finger manipulation, sitting, standing, talking, walking

Frequent: Grasping, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching

Occasional: Stooping
