Job summary

IU Health Fishers Hospital in Fishers, Indiana seeks a PRN Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to support imaging services in a fast-paced environment. You will operate x-ray, fluoro, portable x-ray, and fluoroscopy equipment, and prepare patients for exams while maintaining safety protocols.

Collaborating with radiologists and referring physicians, you will document patient history in the EMR, monitor patients during procedures, and assist with minimally invasive interventions as needed.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of relevant radiology experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is required.
• Active ARRT RT(R) registration or board-eligible radiologic technology credential; must credential within 6 months of hire.
• Active Indiana ISDH license as Radiologic Technologist or ISDH Radiology Student Permit.

Overview

This is a PRN Diagnostic Radiology Technologist opportunity at IU Health Fishers Hospital in Fishers, Indiana.

The PRN schedule offers flexibility, allowing team members to pick up shifts based on their availability. Ideally, candidates will have some weekday availability to help support coverage needs.

No call responsibilities or holiday coverage are required for this position.

Job Duties, Tasks and Qualifications:

Operates imaging equipment such as x-ray, fluoro, portable x-ray, and fluoroscopy equipment used in surgery. Prepares patients by explaining exam and positioning them correctly. Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate imaging. Follows radiation safety protocols. Documents detailed patient history. Stays current with continuing education. Monitors patients during exam for safety. Documents necessary information in EMR. Assists with minimally invasive procedures as needed.

• Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
• Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
• Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible). If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire.
• Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit.
