Job summary

Indiana University Health System in Bloomington, IN seeks a PRN Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to perform radiographic procedures in a Primary Care clinic. You will follow physician instructions, prepare and operate equipment, and position patients from pediatric to geriatric to obtain diagnostic images.

Requirements include Basic Life Support, ability to maneuver equipment in limited spaces, and current ARRT RT(R) certification or board eligibility with credential obtained within 6 months.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Ability to maneuver equipment and position patients even when conditions change.
• ARRT RT(R) credential or board eligibility; if board eligible, credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire.
• ISDH license as Radiologic Technologist or ISDH Radiology Student Permit required.

Job description

This is a PRN Diagnostic Radiology Technologist position located in Bloomington, IN at our Primary Care clinic.

Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures for radiological diagnosis, in a timely fashion, while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Treats patients with care and respect.

• Basic Life Support certification, required.
• Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
• Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible). If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire.
• Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit.
