Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a PRN Diagnostic Radiology Technologist for Noblesville Urgent Care, with 0–3 years’ experience and AHA BLS certification. You will operate imaging equipment, explain procedures to patients, and collaborate with radiologists to ensure accurate imaging in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

This position requires ARRT RT(R) certification (or board eligibility with credential within 6 months) and an ISDH radiologic license or student permit.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years of relevant radiologic technologist experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA is required.
• Active status as a Registered Technologist – Radiography (RT(R)) through ARRT or board-eligible with credential expected within 6 months.
• Current Indiana ISDH Radiologic Technologist license or ISDH Radiology Student Permit.

Responsibilities

• Operates imaging equipment including x-ray, fluoroscopy, portable x-ray and fluoroscopy in surgery.
• Prepares patients by explaining exams and positioning them correctly.
• Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate imaging.
• Follows radiation safety protocols and monitors patient safety during exams.
• Documents patient history and exam details; maintains EMR records.
• Maintains continuing education to stay current in the field.
• Assists with minimally invasive procedures as needed.

This is a PRN Diagnostic Radiology Technologist position located at Noblesville Urgent Care.

• Operates imaging equipment such as x-ray, fluoro, portable x-ray, and fluoroscopy equipment used in surgery.
• Prepares patients by explaining exam and positioning them correctly.
• Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure accurate imaging.
• Follows radiation safety protocols.
• Documents detailed patient history.
• Stays current with continuing education.
• Monitors patients during exam for safety.
• Documents necessary information in EMR.
• Assists with minimally invasive procedures as needed.

• Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
• Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
• Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible). If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire.
• Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit.
