Job summary

Wake Radiology UNC REX is seeking a compassionate Diagnostic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopy procedures at our West Raleigh and Panther Creek offices, delivering high-quality imaging and patient care. The ideal candidate will hold current ARRT certification, CPR, and OSHA training, with strong patient communication and teamwork, contributing to a safe, efficient imaging environment.

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification and registration.
• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Completion of OSHA training as required by the employer.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and radiographic principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopy procedures following established protocols.
• Prepare patients by explaining procedures, reviewing medical history, and ensuring their comfort throughout the exam.
• Position patients accurately to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
• Review images for quality and prepare them for radiologist interpretation.
• Assist radiologists during procedures and patient consultations as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the imaging system.
• Follow all radiation safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards.
• Perform routine equipment quality control and report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to provide exceptional patient care.
• Assist with training new technologists and support other Wake Radiology UNC REX locations as needed.
