Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a radiologic technologist to ensure proper patient identification, prepare for exams, and document clinical history while safeguarding confidentiality.

The role optimizes imaging protocols, adheres to ALARA principles, assists licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic procedures, and performs diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic exams across departments, including OR, ICU, and endoscopy as needed.

Qualifications

• Ensures correct order, patient identification, and proper documentation of history.
• Uses imaging protocols and ALARA to maximize safety.
• Administers medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluates image quality and verifies data transfer.
• Educates and monitors students and health care staff.
• Assists licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures.
• Performs diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including in OR/ICU.
• Participates in quality and process improvement.
