Job summary

Geisinger is seeking Radiologic Technologists to perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, preparing and documenting medications and radiation exposure in line with federal and state laws and institutional policy.

Ambitioned applicants will ensure ALARA principles, correct patient identification, and appropriate clinical history documentation. The role also includes supervising students and assisting practitioners in a dynamic clinical setting.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R registry within 6 months of hire.
• Advancement to Level 2 within 24 months after hire.
• Graduate from Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required).
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Prepare, document, and administer medications and radiation exposure per policy.
• Identify patients, verify clinical history, and maintain confidentiality.
• Evaluate images for positioning and technical quality; ensure proper archiving and data transfer.
• Educate and supervise students and other health care providers.
• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures.
• Perform procedures outside the Radiology Department as required.
