This posting reflects an opening for an X-ray Technologist I. We are seeking candidates for that position, with the possibility of consideration for higher levels such as X-ray Technologist II based on skills, qualifications, and experience. We encourage all qualified individuals to apply.

Radiologic Technologists are responsible for administering ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They perform a full scope of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, acquiring and analyzing data needed for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. They independently perform or assist in completing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, preparing, administering, and documenting activities related to medications and radiation exposure in accordance with laws and policies.

Job Duties
  1. Ensure correct order is obtained, patient is properly identified and prepared, and clinical history is documented while respecting confidentiality.
  2. Utilize appropriate imaging protocols and optimize technical factors, maximizing patient safety and care, applying ALARA principles.
  3. Prepare and/or administer medications through vascular access as prescribed.
  4. Evaluate images for proper positioning and quality, verify archival storage and transfer of data, and post-process data if applicable.
  5. Educate and monitor students and other healthcare providers.
  6. Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures.
  7. Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures outside of the Radiology Department as prescribed.

Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. The role requires compliance with organization policies and procedures, with additional department-specific competencies outlined during orientation.

Position Details
  • New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months of hire.
  • Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, must complete steps for advancing to level 2 within 24 months.
Education & Experience
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required).
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Preferred).
  • Minimum of 1 year related work experience (Preferred).
Certifications & Licenses
  • Radiography (R) - ARRT.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
