Job description

Job Summary $15,000 sign-on bonus for eligible applicants! This posting reflects an opening for an Xray Technologist I. We are seeking candidates for this position and reserve the right to consider applicants for higher levels, including Xray Technologist II, based on skills, qualifications, and experience. We encourage all qualified individuals to apply.

Radiologic Technologists are responsible for administering ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They perform a full scope of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, acquiring and analyzing data needed for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. They independently perform or assist in radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, and prepare, administer, and document activities related to medications and radiation exposure in accordance with laws, regulations, and institutional policies.

Job Duties
  1. Ensure correct order is obtained, patient is properly identified and prepared for exam, and clinical history is corroborated and documented while respecting confidentiality.
  2. Utilize appropriate imaging protocols and optimize technical factors while maximizing patient safety and applying principles of ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable).
  3. Prepare and/or administer medications through vascular access sites as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
  4. Evaluate images for proper positioning and acceptable quality; verify archival storage and transfer of data, including post-processing if applicable.
  5. Educate and monitor students and other healthcare providers.
  6. Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures.
  7. Perform diagnostic radiographic and noninterpretive fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed, including outside of the Radiology Department (e.g., Operating Room, Endoscopy, ICU).

Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. The role requires satisfying all job-specific obligations and complying with organizational policies. Additional department-specific competencies will be considered essential.

Position Details
  • New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months of hire.
  • Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, must complete steps for advancing to level 2 within 24 months.
Education
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required).
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Preferred).
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of related work experience (Preferred).
Certifications and Licenses
  • Radiography (R) - ARRT.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
